Where is God leading you?

Genesis 12:1 – “The Lord had said to Abram, ‘Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.’”

Too often in life, we want God’s plans and purposes laid out before we’re willing to step forward and go. We’d like our finances in order. We want our kids done with school. We want to be fully trained and equipped. We set these conditions before we’re willing to commit to what God has for us.

Yet God’s command was simple: Go, and I will show you.

So what does “go” look like for you today? It may mean leaving where you are right now and setting out on a journey to discover what’s next. It could mean walking away from destructive relationships so God can guide you into new ones. Or it could mean stepping into a new ministry opportunity God has placed before you.

The key to this passage is four words: I will show you. We don’t have to figure it all out. It isn’t about trusting our past experience or our skill set. It’s about trusting that God will reveal our next steps and equip us with the gifts we need for this next season. If God is leading you, He will orchestrate the steps for you to take.

So what is holding you back today? What action step do you need to take to commit to where God is leading you?
